Stanmore World Cup

The young people of Stanmore have an opportunity to participate in their very own 'World Cup Event'. Young people aged between 7 and 14 years are being given the opportunity to attend training sessions for an hour, once a week over a 6 week period, culminating in a mini world cup tournament and it's all FREE!.

The traning will take place on Thursday evenings at Somers Close Recreation ground, starting on the 15th July and ending on 19th August. The sessions are split:

17:30 - 18:30 for 7-10 year  olds  and 18:30 - 19:30 for 11-14 yeat olds

If the event is successful and enough interest is shown then efforts will be made to try and establish regular football teams or a Stanmore Football Club which can go on to represent Stanmore in local football leagues. However that will depend on the volunteer support that can be obtained from parents, carers and other residents of Stanmore.
