All Change for Stanmore Combined!

A recognised weakness of Stanmore Combined is that we do not have any formal structure to our organisation. We are merely a gathering of representatives from various groups or agencies that have an interest or involvement in the Stanmore community. Hopefully, that is all about to change with a proposal to merge Stanmore Combined with the Stanmore and District Community Association.

The Community Association (CA) have themselves struggled over recent years, with an ageing committee and an injection of new ideas required, this new partnership is seen as the means of not only revitalising a community group, but the community itself. The CA will benefit from a strengthened management committee with new skills and fresh ideas and Stanmore Combined will benefit from a structure that will make it much easier to secure funding to support the many projects and ideas it hopes to carry forward.

We are looking for active members of the community who feel they have the time and energy to help achieve our vision of a strong, vibrant and inclusive community organisation, which manages a thriving community building and helps Stanmore residents fulfil their needs, improve their quality of life and meet all the challenges that may bring. If you have the enthusiasm to meet this challenge and skills you think may benefit our association, then we would love to hear from you.
